Stella is a cryo-EM Research Scientist in Dr. Wah Chiu’s lab and is dedicated to experimental and computational application of cryo-EM for structural determination of biological macromolecules, especially for biological machinery in-situ. With experience in high-end cryo-EM, she has been engaged in cryo-EM skills of multi-scale imaging range from nanometers to microns with cryo-ET. Her research interest focuses on addressing important scientific and biomedical problems, particularly in pathogen-host interaction from structural and mechanistic perspectives to understand the cytoskeleton-based invasion mechanisms. Outside of lab, she enjoys cooking, hiking and traveling.
